For my series, 16:9, I produced a body of very low-resolution photographs, 16 pixels wide by 9 pixels high. The imagery suggests forms, but the viewer completes the work by imbuing it with intent, definition and meaning. Inspired by the polarized views of reality following Donald Trump’s rise to power, with large groups of people dismissing what's happening in front of their eyes, I created work that may be interpreted in any way the viewer chooses.

I offer no pedantic or manipulative messages, no attempt to guide... nothing about my desires, anxieties, or trying to articulate something of my private experience through a universal visual language. In the post-Trump world, I’ve discovered that I can't change what is already in someone's head, but maybe I can prompt some discussion about what's being seen and why. Welcome to the world where everybody can see what they want to see… and it’s ok.
